Our Monument location shares the Safeway Plaza parking lot. Find us next to Subway, in the same plaza with The UPS Store and Jarrita Loco Mexican Restaurant.
Just outside Colorado Springs, the town of Monument, CO was first homesteaded in 1865, and became a stop along the Rio Grande Railroad in 1872. The area was incorporated in 1879 as “Henry’s Station,” named after a prominent settler from the area. It was renamed Monument three years later after the nearby creek and rock of the same name.
Monument is a school-choice community featuring public, private and charter schools alongside home-schooling groups. The public school system here performs 20% better than the state average.
On April Fool’s Day, 2019, Monument became a Second Amendment Sanctuary.
Monument is home to the Pikes Peak Library District, as well as Boy Scout Troop 514, which is in possession of the American flag that was recovered from the wreckage of the Challenger space mission in 1986. It is also home to many Christian churches and associated organizations, from Presbyterian, Lutheran, Catholic, Methodist and Mennonite denominations, as well as non-denominational churches.
